Kiln Wash

A powder that is mixed with water and painted on refractory kiln shelves to prevent glaze drips from sticking.

DIRECTIONS:

1. By volume, mix 1 part kiln wash to 5 parts water in a container and mix.
2. Apply the mixture evenly to the kiln shelf using a brush.
3. Apply 4-5 coats. Ensure the mixture is kept well mixed as it settles very quickly.
4. Ensure the kiln wash is completely dry before firing.
